Terms of Service
Short terms for using a free independent utility project.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. Using Z Tools
You may use Z Tools for lawful personal, educational, development, and business workflows. Do not use the service to attack infrastructure, bypass access controls, distribute malicious content, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with other users.
2. Verify important outputs
The tools are general-purpose utilities, not professional advice or a substitute for application-specific validation. Verify output before using it in production, security-sensitive, financial, legal, medical, or other high-impact workflows. In particular, decoding a JWT does not verify its signature, a color contrast ratio is not a full accessibility audit, and a hash is not automatically an authentication mechanism.
3. Uploads and submitted messages
You are responsible for having the right to process files you upload. Image Compressor files are temporary and governed by the retention/security model described in the Privacy Policy. Contact Form messages are private administrative submissions, not public user-generated content.
4. Project content and output
Z Tools site design, original documentation, branding, and source-specific content may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party libraries remain under their own licenses. Output that you create from your own input—such as a QR code, converted text, or formatted JSON—is not claimed by Z Tools.
5. Availability and warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” There is no promise of uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every browser/file, or error-free output. Features and limits may change as the project evolves.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Z Tools is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by relying on a tool result, inability to access the service, or use of a third-party site reached through a documentation link. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated when product behavior, legal requirements, or site policies change. The date on this page and the changelog are the public record for meaningful revisions.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms can be submitted through the Contact Form.
